
Wilczyński/Waglewski | A Decade in Audiovisual Culture
“The New York Times”called Mariusz Wilczyński a “leading contemporary animator.” Wilczyński is the mastermind behind “Wilkanoc,” a showcase of improvisation that combines animation created live with performances by invited musicians, such as Boris Berezovsky, Tomasz Stańko, Leszek Możdżer, and Wojciech Waglewski. Since 2008, he’s been working on Zabij to i wyjedź z tego miasta [Kill It and Leave This Town], his a feature-length animated movie, slated to premiere in 2019.
Wojciech Waglewski is a composer, lyricist, producer, founder and frontman of one of the most important rock bands in the history of Polish music—Voo Voo, released over 30 LPs to date. In his solo efforts, he collaborated with key artists of Polish jazz and rock scenes, as well as multiple artists from abroad. Waglewski has also authored scores and soundtracks for numerous stage plays.
