The NInA Finale | A Decade in Audiovisual Culture

Just days before the merger of NInA and the National Film Archive, join us in looking back at the nearly 12-year-long history of the Institute. The programme includes a multimedia essay and a concert featuring more than 20 household names in Polish culture. The event will be streamed online.

The event will be accompanied by the release of a special companion volume published by NInA's own Dwutygodnik.com—a book called Efekt ekranu [The Screen Effect]; the book is an exploration of the most important phenomena and transformations that took place in digital culture over the past twelve years. It will include new and archival essays by authors such as Olga Drenda, Jakub Dymek, Mirosław Filiciak, and Iwona Kurz.

Admission

Admission to the silent disco is free. A photo ID will be required to rent a headset.

Admission to the Multimedia Essay and the concert is invite only. Please contact our international relations coordinator Agata Kołacz at agata.kolacz@nina.gov.pl, if you're interested in attending the event personally.

You're also welcome to witness the event online at the nina.gov.pl and ninateka.pl websites.

All of the segments making up the video essay will be published online after the event and will be available on a dedicated subsection of the nina.gov.pl website. The site will also feature extra materials, including an essay by pre-eminent media scholar Lev Manovich written especially for this occasion.
